We are two companies in Turkey, PHILSA and Philip Morris SA, both part of Philip Morris International (PMI).
PHILSA is our operations company and was established in 1991 when Philip Morris International (PMI) and the Sabanci group of companies launched a joint venture to produce quality cigarettes. PHILSA is located in Izmir and has manufactured PMI products since 1993.
Philip Morris SA is our sales and distribution company and was established in 1994 when we started to sell and distribute our own products throughout Turkey.
About our operations
We are the largest cigarette manufacturer in Turkey (source: AC Nielsen, December 2005). Some 1,600 people work for our companies: 730 of those are in operations, 170 at our head office and 700 in the regional sales offices.
Our business areas cover a wide range of disciplines – from manufacturing and distribution to sales and marketing. We recruit for our head office departments and factory, and across the country for our national sales organization.
