Philip Morris Philippines Manufacturing Inc. is an affiliate of Philip Morris International (PMI).
Although our company was established in 2001, to manage our modern manufacturing facility in Tanauan City, PMI’s presence in the Philippines goes back much further:

1955 – PMI entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with a local manufacturer, La Suerte Cigar and Cigarette Factory. This introduced PMI products into the Philippine market for the first time and was PMI’s first such agreement outside of the United States. |

1993 – Philip Morris Philippines was established to manufacture PMI’s portfolio supplied to La Suerte. Today Philip Morris Philippines Manufacturing Inc. still performs all leaf-related agronomy, logistics, planning and buying functions for PMI’s activities in the Asia Pacific region. |

2000 – We took over the exclusive distribution of PMI’s licensed products through our network of distributors and key accounts across the country. |
About our operations
We employ over 600 people at our head office in Makati City and our manufacturing facility in Tanauan City.
Our Tanauan factory became fully operational in 2003 and produces PMI brands for both domestic sale and export to the rest of the Asia Pacific region. The plant is equipped with modern manufacturing technology to maintain strict environmental protection, quality control and safety standards.
