Welcome to Italy
Philip Morris Italia Srl, an affiliate of Philip Morris International (PMI), was founded in 2001 in response to the business opportunities offered by the tobacco market liberalization. We now have around 52% of the market share in Italy (source: Logista Ex-WHSs, August 2005).
Intertaba S.p.A., the filter manufacturing site, was founded in 1963 and it is focused on cigarette's filer production with high technological value and on the process technology innovation to supply our customers with innovative cigarette filters with a superior quality in the most timely and cost effective manner.
About Italy
Intertaba manufacturing site in Zola Predosa (Bologna) employees around 350 people, while Philip Morris Italia's office in Rome is home to over half of our 400 employees. The rest of the team make up our national sales organization and are spread across Italy.
