Philip Morris International entered the French market in 1971, and today the country is PMI’s third largest market for tobacco products in Europe. Philip Morris France S.A.S. markets and sells products that are manufactured at plants owned by Philip Morris International in the Netherlands, Germany and Portugal, amongst others.
