Philip Morris (Australia) Ltd was established in 1954 as the first overseas affiliate of PMI. Today Philip Morris (Australia) Ltd has offices throughout Australia and a subsidiary in New Zealand.
We currently have the second largest market share based on sales volumes (source: AC Nielsen, August 2005, year-to-date) and we are working hard to regain the top spot.

the sales and distribution of some of PMI’s portfolio of leading brands in Australia through Philip Morris Limited, and in New Zealand through Philip Morris (New Zealand) Limited

cigarette manufacturing at our production facilities in Moorabbin, Melbourne

the management of our telesales and ordering system, which enables transactions and communication between retailers (petrol stations, grocery outlets, etc) and suppliers (manufacturers and wholesalers)

Our operations in Australia also include Philip Morris Information Services Limited which provides information and communication systems support for PMI affiliates in Japan, Australia and the Asia Pacific region. It is a shared services company with over 80 permanent staff and 20 contractors.
