Philip Morris CR a.s. is an affiliate of Philip Morris International (PMI).
Our history goes back as far as 1783 when Emperor Josef II issued a patent covering the manufacture and distribution of cigarettes under a state monopoly in what were then Bohemia and Moravia.
In 1989, Tabak a.s. was established; PMI bought a majority stake in the company in 1992. It was the largest ever US investment in Central Europe at the time and Tabak a.s. was renamed as Philip Morris CR a.s.
About our operations
We are one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of cigarette products in the Czech Republic.
We employ around 1,100 people across the country and offer opportunities in sales and manufacturing, as well as other main company departments.
