1973 – opened first cigarette manufacturing facility in Curitiba, Paraná

1998 – moved production facilities to Santa Cruz do Sul in Rio Grande do Sul

2000 – transferred headquarters from São Paulo to Curitiba

Today we’re the second largest cigarette manufacturer in Brazil, with around 15% share of the market (source: AC Nielsen, Jan-Jun 2005).
Our manufacturing facility in Santa Cruz do Sul produces some of the world’s best-selling brands in addition to a range of local brands. We’re also a key exporter of unfinished products to PMI affiliates around the world.
About our operations
We employ around 2,400 people in our headquarters, sales offices, distribution centres and production facilities around the country. This wide range of activities means you’ll have the chance to learn about nearly every aspect of the tobacco industry – from the manufacture and distribution to the sales and marketing of our cigarette products.
Our factory in Santa Cruz do Sul also houses a modern printing facility where packaging for cigarette brands and related products are printed.
